WHERE ARE WE GOING?
Program
First day
Our gulet vacation in Sardinia begins in Calata Battellieri, in the heart of Carloforte, on the island of San Pietro.boarding is scheduled by 2:00 PM, just enough time to get acquainted with the gulet and begin to savor the slow pace of the journey. Carloforte, listed among Italy’s most beautiful villages, captivates with its Art Nouveau architecture, historic alleyways, and a strong Ligurian-Mediterranean identity that makes it unique. In the afternoon, we set sail for Porto Flavia, an extraordinary feat of mining archaeology carved into the rock, overlooking the spectacular cliffs of Pan di Zucchero. Here we treat ourselves to our first swim in the sea, followed by a traditional dinner on board, to begin fully immersing ourselves in the authentic atmosphere of life on a gulet.
Second day
Between secret coves and the soul of Carloforte
The second day is dedicated to the most authentic sea in south-west of Sardinia, far from the crowded beaches. We set sail for Portu Sciusciau and Grotta Sardegna, small hidden coves characterized by dark rocks, deep seabeds, and crystal clear water: ideal places for snorkeling, swimming, and total relaxation. Here, nature is the absolute protagonist. In the afternoon, we return to Carloforte for a guided tour of the village, exploring its history, traditions, and local shops. In the evening, enjoy a traditional dinner in the village or an optional dinner on board the gulet for those who wish to enjoy the tranquility of the harbor.
Third day
Wild coastline and emerald sea
The journey continues along an ever-changing coastline, where time seems to slow down. We reach thethe island of Sant'Antioco and stop at Coaquaddus, a white sandy beach nestled between limestone rocks and Posidonia meadows. We continue towards Cala Zafferano, an exclusive bay of Capo Teulada, which has remained untouched thanks to its limited access: a true natural paradise. In the afternoon, we land at Tuerredda, considered one of the most beautiful beaches in Sardinia, with fine sand and emerald sea. Dinner on board included, under the starry sky.
Fourth day
Between iconic bays and golden dunes
The day begins with a boat trip to Chia – Su Giudeu, one of the most photographed locations in southern Sardinia. The sheltered bay with its crystal-clear waters is perfect for swimming to the small island opposite. We continue towards Piscinnì and Porto Pino, where the landscape changes and gives way to golden dunes and an almost desert-like atmosphere. The afternoon is spent swimming, sunbathing, and relaxing. For those who wish, dinner on board (extra) offers an intimate evening, lulled by the sea.
Fifth day
White dunes and night under the stars
After breakfast, we sail towards the Dunes of Porto Pino, one of the largest white dune systems in the Mediterranean, where the desert meets the sea. We continue towards Turri and Capo Su Moru, an area rich in small coves that in the past served as a refuge for Saracen pirates. In the late afternoon, we reach Guidi, one of the largest sandy bays on the eastern side of the island. The day ends with a barbecue under the stars, a symbolic moment of a gulet holiday in Sardinia.
Sixth day
Where the sea meets the wind
The last intense day of sea and nature. We start this day at La Caletta, reaching the only sandy beach on the west coast of the island; we then sail towards Capo Sandalo and Capo Rosso, between dark cliffs and deep sea, beaten by the mistral wind. This is where the falcons that migrate from Africa every year nest. The Capo Sandalo lighthouse offers one of the most spectacular sunsets in the Mediterranean. We conclude with a stop at Cala Vinagra, a small bay that hides a picturesque fjord.
Seventh day
After a week of relaxation, crystal clear sea, and conviviality, it's time to say goodbye to the caïque. disembarkation is scheduled for 10:00 a.m., with the crew available for any last details. We say goodbye with the feeling of having had an authentic experience, made up of beaches accessible only by sea, snorkeling, nature, and dinners under the stars. It is possible to reach the mainland and the airport by ferry and CFCA shuttle (to be booked independently).
From Cagliari airport, reach Portovesme via transfer bookable from the CFCA shuttle app (travel time 1-1.15 hours). Alternatively, use public transport, but with at least one change. Then, from Portovesme to Carloforte, take the ferry, which departs almost every hour and takes about 40 minutes: https://delcomar.it/
