WHERE ARE WE GOING?
Program
First day
Our gulet vacation in Sardinia begins at Calata Battellieri, in the heart of Carloforte, on the island of San Pietro.Boarding is scheduled for no later than 2:00 p.m., giving you plenty of time to get acquainted with the gulet and begin to savor the slow pace of the journey. Carloforte, listed among Italy’s most beautiful villages, captivates visitors with its Art Nouveau architecture, historic alleyways, and a strong Ligurian-Mediterranean identity that makes it unique. In the afternoon, we set sail for Porto Flavia, an extraordinary example of mining archaeology carved into the rock, overlooking the spectacular cliffs of Pan di Zucchero. Here we’ll enjoy our first swim in the sea, followed by a traditional dinner on board, to begin fully immersing ourselves in the authentic atmosphere of life aboard a gulet.
Second day
Between Secret Coves and the Soul of Carloforte
The second day is dedicated to the most authentic coastline of southwestern Sardinia, far from the crowded beaches. We set sail for Portu Sciusciau and Grotta Sardegna, small hidden coves characterized by dark rocks, deep waters, and crystal-clear water: ideal spots for snorkeling, swimming, and total relaxation. Here, nature takes center stage. In the afternoon, we return to Carloforte for a guided tour of the village, exploring its history, traditions, and local shops. In the evening, enjoy a traditional dinner in town or opt for an optional dinner aboard the gulet, for those who wish to enjoy the tranquility of the harbor.
Third day
Wild Coast and Emerald Sea
The journey continues along an ever-changing coastline, where time seems to slow down. We reachthe island of Sant’Antioco and stop at Coaquaddus, a white-sand beach nestled between limestone cliffs and Posidonia seagrass meadows. We continue on to Cala Zafferano, an exclusive bay at Capo Teulada that has remained untouched thanks to limited access: a true natural paradise. In the afternoon, we arrive at Tuerredda, considered one of Sardinia’s most beautiful beaches, with fine sand and an emerald-colored sea. Dinner on board is included, under the starry sky.
Fourth day
From iconic bays to golden dunes
The day begins with a sail to Chia – Su Giudeu, one of the most photographed spots in southern Sardinia. The sheltered bay, with its crystal-clear waters, is perfect for swimming out to the islet just offshore. We continue on to Piscinnì and Porto Pino, where the landscape changes, giving way to golden dunes and an almost desert-like atmosphere. The afternoon is spent swimming, soaking up the sun, and relaxing. For those who wish, dinner on board (extra) offers an intimate evening, lulled by the sound of the sea.
Fifth day
White Dunes and a Night Under the Stars
After breakfast, we sail toward the Porto Pino Dunes, one of the largest systems of white dunes in the Mediterranean, where the desert meets the sea. We continue on to Turri and Capo Su Moru, an area dotted with small coves that once served as hideouts for Saracen pirates. In the late afternoon, we reach Guidi, one of the widest sandy bays on the island’s eastern coast. The day ends with a barbecue under the stars—a quintessential moment of a gulet vacation in Sardinia.
Sixth day
Where the Sea Meets the Wind
Onelast intense day of sea and nature. We begin the day at La Caletta, reaching the only sandy beach on the island’s western coast; we then sail toward Capo Sandalo and Capo Rosso, amid dark cliffs and deep waters, buffeted by the mistral. This is where the falcons that migrate from Africa each year nest. The Capo Sandalo lighthouse offers one of the most spectacular sunsets in the Mediterranean. We conclude with a stop at Cala Vinagra, a small bay that hides a picturesque fjord.
Seventh day
After a week of relaxation, crystal-clear waters, and good company, it’s time to say goodbye to the gulet. Disembarkation is scheduled by 10:00 a.m., with the crew on hand to assist with any final details.
