Program
First day
We’ll land in Olbia and meet the guide who will accompany us during this New Year’s vacation in Sardinia. If our arrival times allow, we’ll have time for a first stroll through Olbia’s historic center, among charming alleyways and views of the harbor. Once everyone has arrived, we’ll head tothe island of La Maddalena, where we’ll be staying for the entire trip: we’ll check into our rooms and enjoy dinner together as a group. This is just the beginning of an experience unlike any other—an alternative New Year’s celebration filled with nature, hikes, and the winter sea. At a leisurely pace, we’ll begin to discover the magic of northern Sardinia, an authentic place that offers unforgettable experiences even in the off-season.
Second day
After breakfast, we’ll get ready for our first hiking excursion in the La Maddalena Archipelago National Park. We’ll walk along trails that offer spectacular views of hidden coves, wind-sculpted cliffs, and a sea that retains its incredible colors even in winter. We’ll walk to Forte Arbuticci and Cala Napoletana, one of the most iconic coves on the island of Caprera. Our guide will accompany us every step of the way, sharing stories and explaining the history and natural features of this unique archipelago. We’ll return to our rooms to relax for a bit before having dinner together.

Today, one of the most evocative excursions of our New Year’s Eve in Sardinia awaits us: a hike in the area around Santa Teresa di Gallura. Amid wind-sculpted rocks and lunar-like landscapes, we’ll follow the trails of Capo Testa until we enter the magical Valley of the Moon, a unique natural amphitheater beloved by those seeking silence and a spiritual atmosphere. We’ll also stop at the nearby archaeological site of Palau, where the Tomb of the Giants at Li Mizzani stands as a testament to ancient Sardinia, enriching this outdoor adventure with history. A short but intense itinerary, ideal for experiencing the most authentic essence of Gallura, amid untamed nature and millennia of history.

Today, together with our guide, we’ll head to Cala Coticcio, one of Sardinia’s most beautiful beaches, famous for its turquoise waters and the setting of granite rocks sculpted by the wind. The hike takes us along scenic trails and through hidden coves on the island of Caprera: a little paradise for those who love hiking adventures. (For New Year’s Eve) After the hike, we’ll head back to our rooms to relax and get ready for the evening: New Year’s Eve in La Maddalena awaits us, with a quick dinner and then everyone heading to the square to listen to the concert and wait for midnight!

After breakfast, we’ll hit the road again toward Olbia, from where we’ll head back home. We’ll return feeling rejuvenated, with our backpacks full of memories and our hearts filled with nature, hikes, and new friendships. This New Year’s Eve trek will be an opportunity to experience New Year’s Eve in a unique way and appreciate the beauty of the winter sea, all while fully respecting the environment.
