WHERE ARE WE GOING?
Program
First day
The adventure begins! If you'd like a comfortable ride, you can book a private transfer from Naples with a single departure around 5:00 PM. Once you arrive in Minori, a small village along the Amalfi Coast, you will meet the expert guide who will present the itinerary. This will be the perfect moment to immerse yourself in the atmosphere of the trip, learn the details of the trek, and get to know your fellow adventurers. The evening continues with a traditional Amalfi-style dinner. All of this is set against a spectacular backdrop that offers a glimpse of the wonders awaiting you in the coming days!
Second day
Hiking in the Valle delle Ferriere and Amalfi
We will take the bus to the village of Pontone, a little gem nestled among the mountains of the Amalfi Coast. From here, we’ll begin our hike toward Amalfi along an ancient path, surrounded by terraced lemon groves, with views of Amalfi and the sea. We’ll continue with ahike through the Valle delle Ferriere and follow the course of the Canneto River, passing through a landscape of waterfalls and ancient paper mills, once the beating heart of paper production. Once we arrive in Amalfi , we will visit its main square, the Cathedral of Sant’Andrea , and the narrow streets lined with artisan shops. We’ll return to the hotel via private transfer for dinner.
Third day
Ravello, Minori, and Amalfi
Today we’ll take a walk through history, retracing the ancient paths that once connected the villages of the Amalfi Coast. We’ll take our shuttle to Ravello, an elegant village beloved by artists and writers, which will welcome us with its historic villas and gardens. In the afternoon, we’ll take an ancient path to walk directly down to “our” Minori. This seaside town is famous for its artisanal pastry shops and liqueur distilleries, perfect for a tasting of artisanal pastries and limoncello.
For New Year’s Eve: We’ll relax in our room and get ready to head out for our New Year’s Eve in Amalfi: after enjoying a pizza or a nice 'cuopp' of mixed fried seafood, we’ll experience an alternative New Year’s Eve outdoors in the heart of the beautiful, festive square with fireworks by the sea!
We won’t stay out too late because the first hike of the year awaits us the next day!
Fourth day
The Path of the Gods and Positano
Today is the day for one of the most spectacular hikes in the world, the perfect way to end the year on a high note: the Path of the Gods! We’ll take public transportation to Bomerano , the starting point. The trail winds along the cliffs of the Amalfi Coast, offering views of the sea that alternate with stretches of wild nature, holm oak forests, and Mediterranean scrub. The scent of thyme and rosemary will accompany us along the way, and the scenery will become increasingly spectacular. Once we reach Positano, we’ll immerse ourselves in its glamorous yet authentic atmosphere.
Fifth day
After days of hiking along scenic trails in Campania, charming villages, and authentic flavors, we treat ourselves to a morning wake-up with the scent of lemons still in our hair and images of the Amalfi Coast that will remain in our hearts. After breakfast, it’s time to get ready for the return trip, but with the knowledge that we’ve had a unique experience surrounded by nature, history, and local traditions. For those who booked a private transfer, departure from Minori to Naples is scheduled for around 10:00 a.m. One last look at the sea and the Lattari Mountains… and goodbye, Amalfi Coast—see you on the next adventure!
There are several ways to get to Minori: From Salerno: Take the train to Salerno station, from which the marina is about a 10-minute walk. From there, you can take the Travelmar ferry to Minori. From Naples: A transfer service is available, managed directly by a local company, with whom you can arrange a paid service from Naples station to the hotel and back. Contact information to arrange costs and schedules will be provided only after booking. Approximate times are: 4:30–5:00 PM on the first day and 10:00 AM on the last day; travel time is 40–60 minutes. Alternatively, but only for the RETURN trip to Naples, you can use the local buses, which take 2 hours.
From Salerno: As an alternative to the Travelmar ferry (an 8-minute walk from the station), a direct bus to Amalfi departs from Salerno station and stops in Minori. For information on schedules and fares, visit http://www.sitasudtrasporti.it/ From Naples: From the station, you can take a bus to Amalfi that passes through Minori; the travel time should be about 1 hour and 50 minutes (http://www.sitasudtrasporti.it/orari)
In general, we do not recommend traveling to Minori by car, as traffic is subject to restrictions and bans during many times of the year. If you must travel by car, we recommend that you consult the traffic regulations for the Amalfi Coast.
After booking, we will provide you with details on how to get to the hotel comfortably.
