Imagine a different kind of June 2nd holiday, combining the charm of unique landscapes with the discovery of the food and wine traditions of Puglia and the Gargano. During this 5-day vacation, you will stay on the shores of Lake Lesina, in the village of the same name, and each day you will set off to enjoy a different and authentic experience. You will walk along the natural dunes of Bosco Isola and take part in a creative craft workshop using materials collected in the woods. You will visit the medieval villages of San Severo and San Paolo Civitate, participating in tastings of typical products and local wines in very special settings such as castles and underground cellars. As is traditional on a Jonas vacation, there will also be slow mobility experiences such as a walk/trek along a few kilometers of the Cammino della Pace (Path of Peace) or a tour of the lake in local boats.

Program
First day
Welcome to Lesina and
Lesina, the village nestled on the lake of the same name, awaits us to kick off a holiday over the June 2 long weekend dedicated to discovering an unusual and authentic Puglia. The picturesque sunset over the lake, trekking in the unspoiled nature of Bosco Isola, and the genuine flavors of local cuisine are just some of the activities that characterize this unusual vacation in Puglia. Each experience will be led by a local guide who will talk about their territory with love, allowing us to enjoy authentic experiences that will leave a lasting impression. First group dinner: typical cuisine, local products, and a toast to the start of the adventure.
Second day
Trekking in Bosco Isola, workshop and tasting
We will spend the morning on a simple trek along the paths of Bosco Isola, the strip of natural dunes that separates the Lesina lagoon from the Adriatic Sea. With the help of a nature guide, we will collect berries, pine cones, and other natural elements that we will use for a creative craft workshop with a local artisan in the afternoon. We will stop for a tasting of typical products at a local farm where we will discover the flavors of the area, and then we will devote ourselves to creating small handicrafts with our own hands. In the late afternoon, we will return to the hotel and have dinner on our own (New Year's Eve dinner included).
Third day
Lake Lesina and San Severo with tasting
The morning after breakfast, we will takea boat trip on Lake Lesina, one of the experiences not to be missed for those who want to enjoy the lake in an authentic way. The organized vacation in Puglia continues with urban trekking led by a historical tour guide in the historic center of San Severo, a village famous for housing the oldest Baroque monuments in Puglia and for being the birthplace of cartoonist Andrea Pazienza. Don't miss a visit to the underground cellars, a cool labyrinth of bottles with wine and sparkling wine tasting . We return to Lesina for dinner at a local restaurant.
Fourth day
The Path of Peace and tasting
We reach San Paolo di Civitate to visit the Archaeological Museum, the gateway to the ancient history of Capitanata. We then reach the start of the Path of Peace: 15 km (which can be reduced to 10) of sheep tracks, endless countryside, and slow panoramas in the heart of the Gargano, perfect for those looking for trekking in Puglia and authentic walks in the summer of 2026. Packed lunch, perhaps with fragrant focaccia from a local bakery. Return to Lesina for the last group dinner, with typical flavors, travel stories, and that wonderful energy that only shared holidays can create.
Fifth day
Unfortunately, we have come to the end of this experiential vacation in Puglia. From the small village of Lesina, we visited the lagoons of Puglia and the Gargano in a sustainable way, thanks to tastings of local products and guided treks, discovering a different and authentic Puglia, far from the typical chaos of summer. After breakfast, it's time to return home, taking with us a wealth of emotions and memories of new friends we met during this organized group vacation.
