It was truly a pleasant vacation, and for the first time, I didn’t feel homesick—though I would have gladly stayed longer. In my opinion, this was all thanks to four key factors: Mauro, all of you, the well-organized and varied tour, and the location. Mauro because he was welcoming, professional in his decisions, and empathetic toward our various emotional states. You all because this was my first time on a group trip, and I didn’t expect to find EVERYONE to be so pleasant. The tour’s organization was excellent in my view because it allowed us to see a wide variety of landscapes and left us with a lasting impression of the essence of Abruzzo—a region that’s often underrated but is every bit as good as any other in Italy. Finally, the location is a splendid setting for this trip because it offers relaxation, comfort, kindness, and exquisite food that truly leaves you with a sense of satisfaction at the end. So, a heartfelt thank you to everyone—and to Jonas—for giving us this opportunity to discover Abruzzo together.

The Aeolian catamaran and its incomparable crew from Palermo treated us to a memorable vacation that was both relaxing and packed with scents, flavors, views, physical activity (no tai chi), and cheerful carefreeness. Paola’s excellent cooking—and Riccardo’s attempts to match it—left us a few extra kilos, which we fought off with hearty granitas and trips up and down to the cabin. In short, a vacation worth repeating!

It was a very positive experience, starting with the skipper and his boat, my fellow travelers, the agreed-upon itinerary, and the shared provisions. The spectacular scenery filled me with excitement and wonder. That said, what I enjoyed most was the tour around Marettimo, with the view of the caves and the Dolomite-like rocks reflected in the turquoise sea.

I really enjoyed being so close to the sea and nature. Giulia turned out to be an excellent cook and indispensable for navigating and managing the catamaran, given her father’s age—he certainly has a wealth of experience but perhaps not as much energy these days (though I’ll admit he still has more than I do, at 41). The cabin space was adequate, as were the common areas. My fellow travelers were all pleasant and good company. I was able to relax a lot, see beautiful scenery, and learn new things.

First of all, I would like to thank the staff at Jonas (specifically Ms. Eva) for their helpfulness and assistance with various matters both before departure and during the vacation (for example, with flight check-in). I also want to commend the service provided on-site by our guide in the Seychelles (Ms. Milly), who was extremely kind and a great help in many ways. What I liked most was that the tour was very well organized, and everything—accommodations, excursions, transfers, flights, and the staff—was flawless.
