WHERE ARE WE GOING?
Program
First day
The journey begins in the heart of Umbria: Foligno, a lively and authentic city, perfectly nestled among the rolling hills of Umbria. Arrive independently in the afternoon and check into your hotel, where you can relax and begin to soak up the atmosphere. After the briefing, dinner awaits you, providing the perfect opportunity to get to know the group and the local guide who will accompany you during the tour. We will share the program for the coming days and some initial insights into the destinations we will visit, including certified villages, rural traditions, and excellent wine production. Rest at the hotel, ready to set off to discover Umbria on your ebike!
Second day
Through the Villages and Vineyards of Sagrantino
We’re ready to hop on our e-bikes to explore the green heart of Umbria. Our first stop is Montefalco, one of Italy’s most beautiful villages, nicknamed the “Balcony of Umbria” for its panoramic views that take in the entire Umbrian Valley. We’ll follow one of the scenic trails along the Strada del Sagrantino, a route nestled among hills covered with vineyards and olive groves. At lunch, those who wish can enjoy a tasting of typical Umbrian products. We’ll then take our time returning to Foligno, enjoying the back roads that wind through unspoiled countryside and offer stunning views. Relax by the pool, and in the evening, dinner at the hotel.
Third day
Assisi and Spello by E-Bike
Riding our e-bikes through Umbria, we’ll pedal toward Assisi. Traveling along back roads and through the rolling Umbrian hills, we’ll reach its historic center— a UNESCO World Heritage Site—where we’ll visit the famous Basilica of St. Francis. Lunch is on your own, the perfect opportunity to choose a traditional trattoria or sample local street food amid stone-paved alleys and timeless squares. In the afternoon, we’ll cycle back through olive groves, rural landscapes, and unspoiled countryside, stopping in Spello along the way. We’ll end the day with dinner at the hotel.
Fourth day
Rasiglia and Pale: Secret Umbria
Today we’ll discover an authentic corner of Umbria: the mountains around Foligno. We’ll ride our e-bikes through an enchanting forest with a wild charm all the way to Rasiglia, the picturesque “village of streams,” famous for its crystal-clear waters that flow between stone houses and ancient mills. After a break, if we’d like, we can treat ourselves to a taste of traditional Umbrian specialties for lunch. In the afternoon, on our way back, we’ll cycle to the picturesque village of Pale, along quiet trails and through rural landscapes that tell the story of Umbrian farm life. Once back at the hotel, our final traditional dinner at a local tavern awaits us, where we’ll raise a toast together to the beauty of this journey through villages, nature, and authentic flavors.
Fifth day
After breakfast, we prepare to check out and return home. Our e-bike tour in Umbria comes to an end, but it leaves us with the essence of an experiential journey: authentic villages, hills dotted with olive trees and vineyards, genuine encounters with the local culture. We cycled through unspoiled landscapes, discovered medieval gems such as Spello, Montefalco, Bevagna, and Rasiglia, and experienced the region in an authentic and sustainable way. This trip was much more than just a vacation: it was a journey of discovery, an immersion in the slow rhythms of Umbria. Until the next adventure... perhaps still on two wheels, among the wonders of Italy!
