WHERE ARE WE GOING?
Program
First day
Welcome to Bagno di Romagna
Ready for a rejuvenating spa and cycling weekend in nature? There's no better place than Bagno di Romagna, a small, characteristic village nestled in the heart of Tuscan Romagna in theTuscan-Romagnolo Apennines. We will meet our guide at around 6 p.m. for a briefing and dinner; if you arrive earlier, don't worry: you can enjoy the warm thermal waters of the hotel's indoor spa or pamper yourself in the outdoor pool's whirlpool: let's recharge our batteries with positive energy for the weekend!
Second day
Cycling in the Casentino Forest Park
Ready, set, go! We set off from our hotel in Bagno di Romagna, pick up our e-bikes, and continue towards San Piero in Bagno! From here, we climb up towards Monte Piano and then descend towards Rio Salso: the hike will be challenging but beautiful, taking us through a wonderful beech forest. Our gaze is lost among the trees in this fantastic natural environment: we cycle until we reach Ca' di Veroli, where we will have the opportunity to take a short break and taste some local products. Without realizing it, we enter the woods of the Casentino Forests, continuing towards the Passo Carpano, where we will have the opportunity to visit the Monastery of Sant'Eufemia near Pietrapazza. At the end of the tour, there will be an opportunity to have lunch with typical local products near Bagno di Romagna.
Third day
E-bikes in the most authentic nature of the Apennines
Today, a new e-bike route in the Tuscan-Romagnolo Apennines: with our bikes, we cross into Tuscany, reaching the town of Cancellino. From here, we take our e-bikes along the longest forest road in Italy: the Cancellino-La Lama is a picturesque route traced on an old railway line, which crosses ancient forests and is often considered the most beautiful and spectacular in the country. We cycle through this magical scenery, with ups and downs and breaks to catch our breath and enjoy the wonders of nature. At La Lama, we will have the opportunity to visit an ancient church at the bottom of the park valley. At the end of our tour, we will have the opportunity to have lunch together with typical local products. Once back in Bagno, why not treat ourselves to some well-deserved relaxation in the hotel's thermal waters? If we still feel like moving around a bit, we can go and explore the simple Path of the Gnomes right on the edge of the village.
Fourth day
On the Wolf Trail
Last e-bike excursion in the Romagna countryside: we climb a little higher to venture along the Wolf Trail, a circular route starting and ending directly in Bagno di Romagna. Between glimpses of ravines and green ridges, the view stretches over the majestic nature of Romagna: we cycle in the company of our local guide , following a route that includes Monte Carpano and Monte Piano, passing through a wonderful farmhouse to enjoy a traditional Romagna lunch in the countryside with locally sourced products. We then return to the hotel to return the bikes and set off again: it has been a weekend of e-bikes and spas that has been nothing short of rejuvenating. Until next time!
Bagno di Romagna can be reached by public transport: we recommend arriving by train to Cesena station and then taking bus line 138 to Bagno di Romagna.
