Program
First day
The adventure by eBike among the most beautiful villages in Umbria begins! In the afternoon, arrival in Foligno, one of the liveliest cities in the region and the perfect starting point for exploring the Golden Triangle of Umbria. After checking in at the hotel, we can relax by the pool and enjoy the tranquility of the surrounding hills. Before dinner, there will be a briefing with the local guide , followed by a group dinner, an opportunity to get to know your fellow travelers and savor the first Umbrian delicacies. A toast and we're ready to set off on our adventure!
Second day
The Sagrantino Wine Route
Today we cycle along the Sagrantino Wine Route, a route that crosses the heart of Umbria through vineyards, olive groves, and medieval villages. The first stop is Montefalco, one of the most beautiful villages in Italy, known as the Balcony of Umbria for its panoramic views. We will then continue towards Bevagna, a village with authentic charm, where time seems to have stood still. We conclude the day with an unmissable experience: a tasting of Umbrian wines and typical products in a winery between Montefalco and Bevagna, where the star of the show will be the famous Sagrantino DOCG. Return to the hotel for dinner and relaxation.
Third day
Tour of Spello and Assisi
We depart from Foligno and head to Spello, a medieval gem nestled in the hills, also known for itsInfiorata, the floral event that colors the streets of the village in June. From here, we continue cycling at the foot of Mount Subasio until we reach Assisi, the city of St. Francis and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Here we can visit the symbolic sites: the Basilica of St. Francis, the Piazza del Comune, and the Eremo delle Carceri. After lunch on our own, we will head back, stopping again in Spello. In the late afternoon, we will return to the hotel for a relaxing evening and dinner together.
Fourth day
Today we have a free day to experience Umbria at our own pace and according to our interests. We can spend the day exploring other villages such as Trevi, with its spectacular views of the Umbrian Valley. For those who love active tourism, one option is to walk a section of the Way of St. Francis. Outdoor and adventure enthusiasts, on the other hand, can reach the spectacular Marmore Falls. Those who wish to continue exploring Umbria by bike can rent an e-bike and venture out on the trails around Foligno. Dinner is on your own.
Fifth day
Spoleto–Norcia
Today, one of the most spectacular cycle routes in Italy. With our eBikes, we reach the station in and and board the train that takes us to Spoleto in about 20 minutes, the starting point of the legendary Spoleto–Norcia. We cycle along the former railway line, passing daring viaducts, rocky walls, and evocative tunnels carved into the mountain, immersed in the silence of the Valnerina. After a relaxing break in Sant'Anatolia di Narco, we return to Spoleto to catch the train back to Foligno. Dinner and overnight stay in a hotel, with memories of a truly memorable day.
Sixth day
Towards Rasiglia and its springs
We cycle towards Rasiglia, the charming "village of streams," where stone houses overlook crystal clear waterways that flow between mills and small canals. Here we can choose to treat ourselves to a tasting of typical Umbrian products, savoring the genuine flavors of the territory. We set off again towards Pale, a village surrounded by nature, where fascinating places await us, such as the hermitage of Santa Maria Giacobbe, the mysterious Grotte dell'Abbadessa caves, and the spectacular Menotre waterfalls. In the afternoon, we return to Foligno, where we can enjoy the last few hours of relaxation before the final dinner in acycling tavern...
Seventh day
After a week immersed in the beauty ofUmbria, it's time to say goodbye and return home, but with our hearts full of memories. We explored the Golden Triangle of Umbria, cycling through medieval villages, hills covered with olive trees and vineyards, wineries, and oil mills. We experienced the thrill of cycle tourism, discovering hidden corners of this extraordinary region, with the comfort of Ebike. From the charm of Montefalco to the charming Bevagna , we traveled along the Sagrantino Route, tasting wines and local products. We saw Spello and Assisi, the city of St. Francis, and we also had time for a bit of relaxation and freedom.
Foligno can be reached by train. The hotel is just 2 km away and offers a free shuttle service (booking required) to cover the distance.
