Monday
The Three Peaks of Lavaredo
From the Tre Croci Pass— Lake Misurina, we begin our group hike toward the iconic peak of the Sesto and Ampezzo Dolomites . The hiking route, with clouds occasionally playing across the peaks, is incredibly beautiful and is considered one of the must-do hikes in the Dolomites—something to experience at least once in a lifetime. With the right level of fitness, this guided hike will offer the thrill that only being in touch with nature and the beauty of the mountains can provide. We’ll return to the hotel in the mid-afternoon.
Tuesday
The Timeless Lake Sorapis
Today’s scenic hike will take us to the foot of the spectacular “Finger of God” at an elevation of 1,900 meters, in a landscape dominated by the gray of the rock and the green of the pastures. Keep your phone handy because we’ll be walking to Lake Sorapis, one of the most famous spots in the Dolomites thanks to the turquoise color of its waters. How about a group photo at one of the most iconic locations in the Veneto Dolomites? We’re scheduled to return to the hotel in the afternoon: we can relax in our rooms or head down to Cortina for a stroll through its renowned town center.
Wednesday
The Top Mountain Huts of the Dolomites
Let’s set out on an unforgettable loop hike with views of the Tofane, the Lagazuoi, and the legendary Scoiattoli, Averau, and Nuvolau mountain huts. Get ready to immerse yourself in the breathtaking landscapes that have made these places famous around the world. This area is also of great historical significance: nestled among the rock formations of the 5 Torri is an open-air museum that recounts the dramatic battles of World War I, making the hike not only a nature experience but also a journey through history. Every step offers unique emotions, amid unspoiled landscapes and reminders of the past.
Thursday
The Giussani Mountain Hut and the Tofana di Rozes
We set out early to reach the Dibona Mountain Hut. After an initial stretch of dirt road, the trail climbs in a gentle zigzag, allowing us to admire the view ahead: first the pine forests, and then the breathtaking vertical cliffs of the Tofane, one of the symbols of Cortina d’Ampezzo. At an elevation of 2,580 meters, we reach the Giussani Mountain Hut, located in the heart of the Dolomites; we take a break to admire the view and recharge our energy. The descent that awaits us is just as impressive: a scenic route offering unforgettable views of the Cinque Torri, the Croda da Lago, and the imposing Antelao, known as the King of the Dolomites.
Friday
Croda da Lago
We wrap up our week of hiking in Veneto with a loop hike that’s among the most rewarding from both a geological and scenic standpoint. After an initial flat stretch, the trail begins to climb through the pleasant fir forests of the Val de Formin. Keep your eyes peeled—with a little luck, you might even spot a few chamois!
At an elevation of around 2,100 meters, we’ll hike along the stunning high-altitude meadows of Mondeval until we reach the shores of Lake Fedèra, one of the Dolomites’ must-see lakes.
The day offers a perfect blend of nature, adventure, and unique landscapes, making it an unmissable experience for mountain lovers.
