WHERE ARE WE GOING?
Program
First day
Resegone and the ridge symbolizing the Orobie Alps
Meet at 9:30 a.m. with the guide and the rest of the group (exact location to be agreed upon closer to the date). Our group trek through the Orobie Alps begins with anexcursion on the Resegone. Accompanied by an expert guide from the Orobie Park, we will depart from Piani d'Erna, accessible by cable car, for a scenic route through woods and spectacular ridges. The climb to the Azzoni Refuge will take us to the summit of Punta Cermenati (1,875 m), from where we will admire a breathtaking view of Lecco, the pre-Alpine lakes, and the Alps. After lunch at the refuge, we will descend along the same route. At the end of the day, we will transfer to a hotel on Lake Como , obviously on the Lecco side, perfect for relaxing and enjoying a typical dinner in good company.
Second day
Valsassina, pastures, and alpine flavors
After breakfast, we will depart for Valsassina, where we will do a circular trek. We will cross the Piani di Nava, climbing up to the picturesque little church of San Calimero, and continue towards Pialeral, with views of the majestic Grigne, up to the Antonietta Refuge, perfect for a lunch break at high altitude. In the afternoon, we will descend through the pastures of Alpe Cova, immersed in an enchanting landscape of meadows and ancient farmhouses. We will end the day with a tasting of local cheeses in a traditional dairy, a perfect experience for lovers of authentic cuisine and mountain cheese-making traditions. Depending on the availability of the dairy, the program may be modified and reorganized.
Third day
Grignetta and its legendary peaks
Our weekend trip ends with an excursion to Southern Grigna, known as Grignetta, an iconic mountain for trekking and mountaineering enthusiasts. Famous for its spectacular peaks and towers, this summit has fascinated legends such as Emilio Comici, Riccardo Cassin, and Walter Bonatti, who wrote mountaineering history here. After breakfast, we will drive to the starting point and begin our trek along the Foppe trail. We will climb up to the Rosalba Refuge (1,730 m), with views of Torre Cecilia and the Torrione del Cinquantenario. After a well-deserved break, we will begin the descent towards Piani Resinelli, where we will have lunch with a view of the surrounding mountains . Return to the cars scheduled for 2 p.m. and, for those who wish, a short trip to the Belvedere di Pian dei Resinelli, an incredible suspended panoramic balcony.
We recommend booking any trains from Lecco departing between 3:00 and 3:30 p.m.
The hotel can be reached by train, with a direct service from Milan Central Station to Lecco (RegioExpress RE8 Tirano-Sondrio-Lecco-Milan line). From there, continue on foot (about 15 minutes).
The property offers a shuttle service from nearby airports upon request.
For those arriving by car, there are paid parking spaces near the accommodation.
