Program
First day
Mount Resegone and the iconic ridge of the Orobie Alps
Meet at 9:30 a.m. with the guide and the rest of the group (exact meeting point to be determined closer to the date). Our group hike through the Orobie Mountains begins with ahike on the Resegone. Accompanied by an expert guide from the Orobie Park, we’ll set out from Piani d’Erna—accessible by cable car—for a scenic route through forests and along spectacular ridges. The ascent to the Azzoni Mountain Hut will take us to the summit of Punta Cermenati (1,875 m), from where we’ll admire a breathtaking view of Lecco, the Pre-Alpine lakes, and the Alps. After lunch at the hut, we’ll descend along the same route. At the end of the day, we’ll head to a hotel on Lake Como on the Lecco side.
Second day
Valsassina, pastures, and alpine flavors
After breakfast, we will depart for Valsassina, where we will do a circular trek. We will cross the Piani di Nava, climbing up to the picturesque little church of San Calimero, and continue towards Pialeral, with views of the majestic Grigne, up to the Antonietta Refuge, perfect for a lunch break at high altitude. In the afternoon, we will descend through the pastures of Alpe Cova, immersed in an enchanting landscape of meadows and ancient farmhouses. We will end the day with a tasting of local cheeses in a traditional dairy, a perfect experience for lovers of authentic cuisine and mountain cheese-making traditions. Depending on the availability of the dairy, the program may be modified and reorganized.

After breakfast, we’ll drive to the starting point and begin our hike along the Foppe trail. We’ll climb up to the Rosalba Hut (1,730 m), with a view of the Torre Cecilia and the Torrione del Cinquantenario. We’re scheduled to return to the cars at 2:00 p.m., and for those interested, there’s a quick stop at the Pian dei Resinelli Lookout, an incredible suspended panoramic viewpoint.
