Program
First day
Arrival in the afternoon at the hotel in Hintertux, in the heart of the Tyrolean Alps. After check-in, free time to relax in the panoramic spa: a true paradise with indoor and outdoor pools, whirlpool, and saunas with a view. In the evening, a gourmet dinner awaits us to savor the first specialties of Tyrolean cuisine, prepared with a mix of tradition and creativity. During the briefing with our guide, we will learn the details of the program. A perfect start to a week of adventure, wellness, nature, and alpine atmosphere in Austria!
Second day
Panoramic high-altitude trekking
We take the free sports bus to Lanersbach and take the cable car up toEggalm to an altitude of 2000 meters. From there, the guided trek to Grublspitze (2395 m), with a 360° panoramic view of the entire valley. Descent to Stoankasern (1984 m), a traditional alpine dairy farm for an optional food and wine break. We begin the descent towards the valley to the Tux Mill (from 1984 to 1400 m). Upon returning to the hotel, we pamper ourselves at the wellness center before dinner.
Third day
Panoramic e-bike tour in the Tux Valley
We take the bus to Vorderlanersbach (approx. 1300 m), where we pick up our e-bikes. We cycle towards Penken up to about 2000 meters, with splendid views of the valley. Along the way, we stop at a mountain hut for a traditional Austrian lunch on the panoramic terrace overlooking Mayrhofen. We continue through alpine pastures, with views of the Grublspitze, before a long and enjoyable descent that takes us back to the starting point, concluding our loop e-bike route. We return to the hotel for some well-deserved relaxation in the spa and dinner.
Fourth day
Trekking in front of the glacier
A few steps from the hotel, we take the cable car up to Sommerberg, which takes us up to 2100 meters, the starting point of the trek. We walk along a scenic trail towards Frauenwand, with spectacular views of the Hintertux Glacier. A short exposed section makes the hike even more impressive. Stop at the historic Tuxerjoch Haus at 2340 meters, where we will enjoy a relaxing break and the chance to savor typical Tyrolean dishes. Descent through valleys, woods, and a scenic waterfall. Back at the hotel, why not stretch your muscles with a session in the gym, or relax in the spa?
Fifth day
Olpererhütte and panoramic bridge
We drive to the Ginzling Valleyby car, taking the alpine road to the Schlegeis dam at 1,782 meters. This is the starting point for one of the most spectacular treks in the Alps, which leads to the Olpererhütte refuge at 2388 meters at the foot of theOlperer. Don't miss the photo opportunity from the famous Panoramabrücke Olpererhütte with a view of the turquoise lake. In the afternoon, return to the hotel and relax in the SPA. The evening continues with dinner and entertainment, including ping-pong challenges and billiards games.
Sixth day
Waterfall Trail and Freedom
From the hotel, we set off on the picturesque Waterfall Trail, a trek that climbs to 2100 meters through woods, canyons, and crystal-clear waterfalls. For the return trip, you can choose to continue on foot or take the cable car. Free afternoon with optional activities: shopping in Mayrhofen, a visit to the spectacular Eispalast ice caves, or, for the more adventurous, a rafting or paragliding experience. Relaxation and wellness at the hotel followed by dinner.
Seventh day
After breakfast, free time to enjoy the last glimpses of the Tyrolean Alps. Our guide is available to offer suggestions along the way back, such as a stop in Innsbruck to admire the Golden Roof or explore the historic Zillertalbahn. This week of adventure in Austria has given us unforgettable emotions with trekking, breathtaking landscapes, authentic flavors, and moments of relaxation and well-being. Take the A22 to Brenner, follow signs for Innsbruck, then take the A12/A13 motorway towards Salzburg. A toll sticker is required for the motorway from Innsbruck South. Take the Zillertal exit and continue on the B169 state road to Mayrhofen, then follow signs for Hintertux, about 50 km. From Innsbruck, it is about an hour's drive. To use Austrian motorways and expressways, all vehicles up to 3.5 tons in weight must be equipped with a prepaid sticker, known as a "vignette." Austrian vignettes can be purchased at gas stations near the Brenner motorway border or at tobacco shops for €9.60 for 10 days of validity. It must be validated at the point of sale. It must be affixed to the windshield of the vehicle in a clearly visible position so that it can be easily checked from the outside before entering a section of highway where it is mandatory. The lower part of the sticker (tab) must not be affixed, but kept carefully. The fine for using Austrian motorways and expressways with a vehicle without a vignette ranges from €120 to €3,000.
