Program
First Day
The day begins in Camogli, one of most iconic villages in Liguria, nestled between towering houses and the open sea. We’ll meet up around 10 a.m. and take a bus to San Rocco di Camogli, one of the most beautiful scenic spots along the coast. From here, the trail leads to Portofino: we’ll pass through natural “balconies” overlooking the sea, surrounded by Mediterranean scrub and enjoying continuous panoramic views.
We’ll continue toward Rapallo, passing through Batterie (a World War II site) and Semaforo Nuovo (with an unobstructed view of the Gulf). We’ll arrive in Rapallo and settle into our lodging for the night. Dinner at the hotel. Tomorrow we’ll explore the Montallegro Sanctuary.
Second Day
This morning we'll take the cable car to Montallegro, where we can briefly visit the Montallegro Sanctuary. This is a because of its ethereal atmosphere and its spectacular view of the Golfo Paradiso. Today we’re in for a more technical and rugged hike, far from mass tourism. We’ll follow a ridge and make a few traverses. We’ll ascend toward the Manico del Lume, entering a more Apennine-like setting of narrow trails, panoramic ridges, and enveloping silence. The stretch toward Spinarola offers a beautiful trail along the hillside and a short equipped section (easy, accessible via ferrata).
Descent toward Uscio through a rural landscape of olive groves and small villages. Overnight stay in Uscio or the surrounding area, experiencing the authentic atmosphere of the Ligurian hinterland.
Third Day
The final day is shorter but very scenic. A spectacular panoramic descent awaits us through Calcinara, Sant’Apollinare, and one of the most picturesque spots above Sori: an unobstructed view of the sea, terraced olive groves, and that typical Ligurian light.
Arrival in Sori in the early afternoon—the sea, relaxation: the perfect ending to our hiking weekend in Liguria!
