WHERE ARE WE GOING?
Program
First day
Our journey begins at Oviedo Airport Oviedo, the capital of Asturias, from where a private transfer will take us to the guesthouse. We leave our luggage and then immediately set off to visit Cudillero, a charming fishing village on the Atlantic coast. Cudillero is one of the most beautiful villages in Spain and we look for a typical restaurant for lunch. In the afternoon, we relax: we can find a spot on the beach at Cabo Vidio and stay there to enjoy the sunset with a cerveza in hand! We return to the guesthouse with a view of the Atlantic Ocean! This region is famous for its various outdoor activities: from bike tours to hiking trails to surfing experiences. We enjoy thewelcome drink with our guides for the next few days: unique experiences await us in Asturias!
Second day
The Sierra del Viento
After ocean view breakfast , we set off on our first bike trip in Asturias is a route that winds through the very first hills along the coast, near the guesthouse. With our local guide, we cross forest trails through pine forests and pastures, reaching an altitude of almost 1000 meters. Our loop route by e-bike will also take us to see the Sierra del Viento wind farm, where the imposing wind turbines stand tall. We visit the poetic Playa del Silencio to relax a little and then head to the guesthouse: it's time for a yoga session with ocean viewsto stretch our muscles and relax properly, followed by dinner.
Third day
The Green Trail
Today we have a more leisurely excursion ahead of us, a cycling tour through the Senda del Oso and the Fuso de la Reina. This route runs along a greenway, an excellent example of the conversion of an old mining railway line, now a cycle path that passes through tunnels and rock crevices. Among hazelnut trees, birches, and holm oaks, we continue our cycling holiday in Spain, following the river that flows alongside us, until we immerse ourselves in the Senda del Oso, a reserve where we can see Asturian bears! Our cycle route in Asturias ends in Oviedo, the capital of the Principality of Asturias, the starting point of the Primitive Way of Saint James, which we can visit.
Fourth day
The West Coast
Today we are preparing for another group bike tripto discover the western coast of Asturias! We set off in the direction of Galicia and follow a very characteristic coastal route, with the ups and downs typical of the area, between plateaus, cliffs, and coves. We will pass through several tourist resorts, typical marinas, and sections of the Northern Way of Saint James, one of the most historic routes of the famous route. We will have lunch along the way and, once our e-bike excursion is over, we will return to the guesthouse by train. Would anyone like another yoga session to stretch their muscles after the
Tonight, a real traditional Asturian dinner in a traditional cider house!
Fifth day
Last morning in Asturias: as we reached the end of our vacation, we were able to discover an area far from mass tourism and with strong distinctive features. This territory, where the green of the woods meets the deep blue of the ocean, is a true paradise on earth for those who want to experience an outdoor vacation in Spain, rich in experiences through which to slowly get to know the region of Oviedo and its cultural and natural beauty. This organized vacation in Spain has allowed us to discover green parks, cliffs overlooking the sea, crashing waves, and dense forests that together make this destination unique, splendid, but still little known!
The airport of reference is Oviedo, in Asturias. A transfer service is organized to/from Oviedo airport based on your flight arrival time.
