Program
First day
Bordeaux is easy to reach: from the airport, it takes just 30 minutes by public transport to get to the hotel, which is centrally located and a short walk from the train station. Meet your tour guide, have dinner at the hotel, and explore the city for the first time with an evening stroll along the Garonne River or towards the Basilica of Saint-Michel. We will discover authentic neighborhoods such as Chartrons, the heart of the wine trade, Saint-Michel, Saint-Pierre, and more modern areas such as Bassin à Flot.
Second day
Arcachon by bike: ocean, forest, and spectacular views
Train included for Arcachon and a day of cycling. Rent bikes and cycle along coastal roads and paths surrounded by greenery, with views of the Atlantic Ocean. We will reach the Dune du Pilat , which at 114 meters is the highest in Europe. After climbing it, for those who want to, there are also convenient steps, we will dominate the infinity of the sea, the Cap Ferret and the Arguin Bank Nature Reserve. In the afternoon, return by train and dinner at the hotel.
Third day
Bordeaux and its city center
We pick up our bikes and continue our holiday on two wheels in France, exploring Bordeaux and its 200 km of cycle paths. We will cycle through the streets of the ancient Port of the Moon, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, admiring its elegant buildings, churches, and historic wine cellars. Bordeaux will captivate us with the aromas of its boulangeries, cozy bistros, and the clinking of glasses ready for a toast. In the late afternoon, we will enjoy a special moment: an aperitif dinner in a restaurant along the river with a view of the old town lit up at sunset.
Fourth day
Saint-Émilion and the great vineyards
Our bike trip, always in the company of our beloved Italian guide. We take the train to Saint-Émilion, one of the most charming towns in Gironde. We pick up our e-bikes and cycle through the vineyards that have made this area famous throughout the world. We cycle through its lively little squares, low houses in warm ochre tones, and cobbled streets of this medieval village. We are in the heart of the land of châteaux , so a stop for a tasting local wines such as Pomerol. After this wine tasting experience we return to Bordeaux by train (also included in the package).
Fifth day
Walking through the streets of Bordeaux
Let's explore Bordeaux with a pleasant walking tour, immersing ourselves in the atmosphere of one of France's most charming cities. We visit the famous Marché des Capucins, the gastronomic heart of the city, and stroll through elegant squares and historic alleys. A group photo at the Miroir d'Eau and a stop in front of the Basilica of Saint-Michel. In the afternoon, we will have free time while our guide is away on a mysterious errand... Upon our return, a special surprise awaits us: an aperitif with wines, cheeses, and artisan bread, prepared with care and shared in an intimate and familiar setting. A simple and sincere moment to feel welcome and say goodbye to the trip with the flavors of the region.
Sixth day
Last day of this wonderful adventure, Jonas! After breakfast, it's time to say goodbye. Those staying a few more days can explore the Dordogne and Bergerac, or indulge in wine tasting between Barsac and Medoc along the famous Route des Châteaux, with a stop in Margaux, the "Versailles of wine." Direct flights are available from numerous Italian airports with scheduled flights or with low-cost airlines Easyjet and Volotea. From Bordeaux airport, you can reach the hotel by tram or bus in about 30 minutes.
