Aeolian Islands: trekking in the most volcanic islands of the Tyrrhenian Sea

First day

This vacation to the Aeolian Islands combines adventure and relaxation, with transfers included for total convenience. Departure from Milazzo, where the ferry will take you to Lipari, the main island. After checking in at your assigned accommodation, you will enjoy a dinner featuring local products at a restaurant in the heart of the historic center. In the following days, guided treks will take you through spectacular scenery, from volcanic landscapes to breathtaking natural expanses. It is the perfect opportunity to discover the beauty of the Aeolian Islands, with excursions and traditional flavors that make this trip truly unforgettable.

Second day

Excursion to Vulcano: the Great Crater
We will depart by boat for theIsland of Vulcano, where a trek suitable for everyone to the summit of the Great Crater, called La Fossa. During the ascent, the landscape will change radically: the lush vegetation will give way to a unique Martian-like scenery. From the top, we will be able to admire a breathtaking 360° view of all the islands of theAeolian archipelago. After the hike, we will have time to relax by the sea and have lunch with a granita and a freshly baked brioche col tuppo! In the afternoon, we will return to Lipari, where we will stop at Belvedere Quattrocchi for an unforgettable sunset and have dinner in a restaurant.

Third day

Excursion to Salina: the Mountain of Ferns
We will depart by boat to Salina, the greenest island in the Aeolian archipelago, made famous by Massimo Troisi's film Il Postino. The trek begins in Valdichiesa, where we will make our first stop at the Sanctuary of the Madonna del Terzito, the starting point of the mule track that will take us to the summit of Monte Fossa delle Felci, the highest peak in the archipelago. From up there, we will enjoy an extraordinary view of the entire Aeolian panorama. After lunch on our own, we will return to Lipari for a tasting of typical desserts. We will end the day with dinner in a restaurant and a relaxing stroll through the streets of the historic center.

Fourth day

Lipari and its wild side
With a private transfer , we will reach the hamlet of Quattropani, famous for its ancient kaolin quarries. Here, we will embark on aguided excursion among the tuffaceous walls of Timpone Pataso and the active fumaroles. We will continue towards the Terme di San Calogero, a charming 19th-century spa, to arrive at the picturesque village of Pianoconte. We will stop at a local pasta factory for lunch based on typical Aeolian products. In the afternoon, there will be time to relax or visit the Castle of Lipari or take a dip at the Acquacalda beach. We will end the day with a typical dinner at a restaurant.

Fifth day

Excursion to Panarea and Stromboli for the "Sciara del Fuoco"
Late in the morning, our guide will lead aboat trip to Panarea, the most exclusive island in the Aeolian archipelago. We will have free time to stroll through its picturesque center and enjoy a typical lunch in one of the local restaurants, savoring dishes such as Aeolian salad, salt cod and capers, or Panarella-style fried pasta. In the early afternoon, we will set sail for Stromboli, where we will embark on an exciting trek to the Sciara del Fuoco, a unique experience that will allow us to admire spectacular volcanic eruptions. In the evening, we will return to Lipari and enjoy dinner on our own to conclude the day.

Sixth day

Free day
Today you will have the freedom to explore the Aeolian Islands at your leisure. You can choose to visit Alicudi or Filicudi, or alternatively, you can return to Salina for anhike on the Mountain of Ferns or Panarea to stroll through its characteristic streets and enjoy the view. If you prefer a day of total relaxation, you can spend it on the beautiful beach of Acquacalda in Lipari or the famous Pollara beach in Salina. For lovers of snorkeling, the crystal clear waters of the Aeolian Islands offer seabeds to explore. The day will end with a typical dinner in a restaurant, where you can savor local dishes in complete tranquility.

Seventh day

It is already time to say goodbye to these wonderful islands, unique for their energy and magic. After enjoying an unforgettable experience surrounded by nature, history, and tradition, we will bid farewell to Lipari, Stromboli, Salina and the other pearls of the Aeolian Islands. We conclude this adventure with a transfer to the port, where we will take the hydrofoil back to Milazzo. As we leave these enchanting lands behind, we will carry in our hearts the memory of breathtaking landscapes and unique moments, ready to return one day to continue discovering the beauty of these unparalleled islands.
