Program
First day
This vacation to the Aeolian Islands combines adventure and relaxation, with transfers included for total convenience. Departure from Milazzo, where the ferry will take you to Lipari, the main island. After checking in at your assigned accommodation, enjoy a dinner featuring local specialties at a restaurant in the heart of the historic center. Over the following days, guided hikes will take you through spectacular scenery, from volcanic vistas to breathtaking natural landscapes. It’s the perfect opportunity to discover the beauty of the Aeolian Islands, with excursions and traditional flavors that make this trip truly unforgettable.
Second day
Excursion to Vulcano: the Great Crater
We’ll set off by boat forthe island of Vulcano, where a hike suitable for everyone awaits us, leading to the summit of the Great Crater, known as La Fossa. During the ascent, the landscape will change dramatically: the lush vegetation will give way to a unique, Martian-like scenery. From the summit, we’ll enjoy a breathtaking 360° view of all the islandsin the Aeolian archipelago. After the hike, we’ll have time to relax by the sea and enjoy lunch with a granita and a freshly baked brioche col tuppo! In the afternoon, we’ll return to Lipari, where we’ll stop at the Belvedere Quattrocchi for an unforgettable sunset and have dinner at a restaurant.
Third day
Hike on Salina: Montagna delle Felci
We’ll begin with a boat ride to Salina, the greenest of the Aeolian Islands, made famous by Massimo Troisi’s film *Il Postino*. The hike begins in Valdichiesa, where we’ll make our first stop at the Sanctuary of the Madonna del Terzito, the starting point of the mule trail that will take us to the summit of Monte Fossa delle Felci, the highest peak in the archipelago. From up there, an extraordinary view of the entire Aeolian landscape awaits us. After lunch on your own, we’ll return to Lipari for a tasting of traditional desserts. We’ll wrap up the day with dinner at a restaurant and a relaxing stroll through the streets of the historic center.
Fourth day
Lipari and Its Wild Side
We’ll take a private transfer to the hamlet of Quattropani, famous for its ancient kaolin quarries. Here, we’ll embark ona guided hike through the tuff cliffs of Timpone Pataso and past the active fumaroles. We’ll continue on to the Terme di San Calogero, a charming 19th-century spa complex, before arriving at the picturesque village of Pianoconte. We’ll stop at a local pasta shop for lunch featuring traditional Aeolian specialties. In the afternoon, you’ll have time to relax, visit Lipari Castle, or take a dip at Acquacalda Beach. We’ll wrap up the day with a traditional dinner at a restaurant.
Fifth day
Excursion to Panarea and Stromboli to see the "Sciara del Fuoco"
Late in the morning, accompanied by our guide, we’ll set offon a boat excursion to Panarea, the most exclusive island in the Aeolian archipelago. We’ll have free time to stroll through its picturesque town center and enjoy a traditional lunch at one of the local restaurants, savoring dishes such as Aeolian salad, salt cod with capers, or Panarellese-style fried pasta. In the early afternoon, we’ll set sail for Stromboli, where we’ll embark on an exciting hike to the Sciara del Fuoco—a unique experience that will allow us to admire the spectacular volcanic eruptions. In the evening, we’ll return to Lipari, and dinner is on your own to round out the day.
Sixth day
Free Day
Today you’ll have the freedom to explore the Aeolian Islands at your leisure. You can choose to visit Alicudi or Filicudi; alternatively, you can return to Salina fora hike up Montagna delle Felci or head to Panarea to stroll through its quaint little streets and enjoy the view. If you prefer a day of total relaxation, you can spend it on the beautiful Acquacalda Beach in Lipari or at the famous Pollara Beach in Salina. For snorkeling enthusiasts, the crystal-clear waters of the Aeolian Islands offer plenty of underwater scenery to explore. The day will conclude with a traditional dinner at a restaurant, where you can savor local dishes at your leisure.
Seventh day
It’s already time to say goodbye to these wonderful islands, unique for their energy and magic. After enjoying an unforgettable experience surrounded by nature, history, and tradition, we’ll bid farewell to Lipari, Stromboli, Salina, and the other gems of the Aeolian Islands. We’ll wrap up this adventure with a transfer to the port, where we’ll board the hydrofoil for our return to Milazzo. As we leave these enchanting lands behind, we’ll carry the memories of breathtaking landscapes and unique moments in our hearts, ready to return one day to continue discovering the unparalleled beauty of these islands.
