A digital detox weekend in Veneto in the Schio area, designed for those who feel the need to disconnect from the of notifications, screens, messages, and urgent demands. It is neither an extreme escape nor a vacation “against” technology: rather, it is a chosen time—brief but meaningful—to slow down and refocus on what often remains in the background in everyday life. We will walk in the woods and experience moments of meditation and guided relaxation, share games, moments of silence, conversations, and group activities in a simple and welcoming setting. This program is also suitable for those with no experience in meditation or wellness practices: no prior training is needed, just a willingness to listen. The heart of the weekend lies here: less digital connection, more presence, more genuine relationships, more contact with nature and with one’s inner self.

Program

First day

Let's get right into the swing of digital detox weekend in nature. Upon arrival, we’re welcomed with a shared dinner, our first chance to slow down and truly connect. During the introductory evening, we can choose to put down our smartphones and begin a true experience of digital disconnection. Games, group activities, and spontaneous interaction help us get to know the other participants and gradually enter a space free of notifications and distractions—a space that is more present and authentic. The weekend’s activities are led by Alessandro, who has been guiding individuals and groups on mindfulness, communication, and digital detox. For years, he has led workshops, retreats, and team-building activities in nature with a slow-life approach, combining experience, active listening, and practical tools to foster an authentic reconnection with oneself and others.

Second day

After breakfast, we set off for a walk in the woods of Tretto di Schio, an ideal setting for easy hiking and forest bathing in Veneto. We walk at a leisurely pace, alternating movement, listening to our bodies, and guided moments of relaxation, rediscovering the dormant power of our five senses. A packed lunch becomes a simple break, surrounded by nature. Through exercises, sharing, and partner activities, we experience a full day of outdoor well-being, lasting until evening: music, movement, and guided meditation intertwine in an intense yet natural experience.

Third day

The final day is dedicated to building on what we’ve experienced. We head back outdoors for a final activity that reinforces the awareness gained during this anti-stress weekend. After lunch, we’ll receive practical tools to continue the journey at home: stress management techniques, digital detox strategies, and tips for maintaining a healthier balance in daily life. We pick up our devices again, but with a different perspective: clearer, more present, more mindful.

Alessandro, a certified mindfulness instructor, who coordinates the group and guides it throughout the weekend.
Notes
Alessandro, who has been passionate about and practicing mindfulness since his teenage years, has been expanding his experience for over 25 years by regularly attending training sessions, Vipassana/mindfulness retreats, and self-development workshops—both as a participant and as an assistant—at various meditation centers in Italy. He trained to become a certified instructor of mindfulness protocols at the Second Center for Cognitive-Interpersonal Therapy in Rome.
