There is a plateau above Schio, where the beech trees of the forest rustle—but not with notifications. It will welcome us for three days, reminding us what it’s like to be fully present in our own lives, without filters. These woods change depending on when you walk through them: early in the morning they’re shrouded in a light mist; by midday, they open up into clearings where the light filters through the beech trees in ways that can’t be described—they must be experienced. It’s here that we’ll walk, without rushing, stopping wherever we please and not where we “should.”
Our guide is Alessandro: twenty-five years spent listening have shown him that certain things aren’t taught—they’re experienced together. With him, we’ll practice mindfulness, forest bathing, breathing exercises, and mindfulness of the present moment. No prior experience or special aptitude is needed—just a willingness to listen.
In the evening, we’ll return to an inn that still embodies the spirit of the family that built it. Vegetarian cuisine, locally sourced ingredients, and a menu that changes with the seasons. It’s not a hotel—it’s the kind of place where you sit down at the table and, without even realizing it, end up staying a little longer than expected.
Between walks: guided meditations, analog games, conversations that don’t end up in a thread. And by the end of the third day, in addition to practical tools to continue the journey at home, something less definable but more lasting: a different perspective on things.
WHERE ARE WE GOING?
Program
First day
Let’s dive right into the rhythm of our digital detox weekend in nature. Upon arrival, we’re welcomed with a shared dinner—our first opportunity to slow down and connect authentically. During the introductory evening, we can choose to put away our smartphones and begin a true digital detox experience. Games, group activities, and spontaneous interaction help us get to know the other participants and gradually enter a space free of notifications and distractions—a space that’s more present and authentic. The weekend’s activities are led by Alessandro, who has been guiding individuals and groups through mindfulness, communication, and digital detox programs since 2015. For years, he has been leading workshops, retreats, and team-building sessions in nature with a “slow life” approach, combining experience, active listening, and practical tools to foster an authentic reconnection with oneself and others.
Second day
After breakfast, we set out for a walk in the woods of Tretto di Schio, an ideal setting for easy hiking and forest bathing in Veneto. We walk at a leisurely pace, alternating between movement, listening to our bodies, and guided relaxation exercises, rediscovering the dormant power of our five senses. A packed lunch becomes a simple break, surrounded by nature. Through exercises, sharing, and partner activities, we experience a full day of outdoor wellness, continuing into the evening: music, movement, and guided meditation intertwine in an intense yet natural experience.
Third day
The final day is dedicated to consolidating what we’ve experienced. We head back outdoors for a final activity that reinforces the awareness we’ve gained during this stress-relief weekend. After lunch, we’re given practical tools to continue this journey at home: stress management techniques, digital detox strategies, and tips for maintaining a healthier balance in daily life. We pick up our devices again, but with a different perspective: clearer, more present, and more mindful.
