A bike tour from Bassano del Grappa to Verona, in bikepacking style, through Valsugana, Valpolicella, and the Veronese hills. Three days on two wheels with your own bike—or with the option to rent one through Jonas—carrying only the essentials and staying each night in a hotel with breakfast included. The tour starts in Bassano and heads toward Lake Corlo and the lakes of Levico or Caldonazzo, passing through landscapes that transition from foothills to the more mountainous terrain of Valsugana. The route then continues toward Valpolicella, through vineyards, villages, and back roads, until the final leg, which passes through Borghetto sul Mincio and Custoza before arriving at Verona Porta Nuova, where you’ll catch the train back home. A compact and well-organized cycling weekend , ideal for those seeking an active, itinerant experience at the leisurely pace of bikepacking.

Program
First day
Bassano del Grappa> Lake Levico or Lake Caldonazzo
We set off from Bassano del Grappa, with the silhouette of Monte Grappa behind us, and cycle northward through a rapidly changing landscape: from the Brenta River and the foothill towns, we move on to gorges, narrower slopes, and stretches with a distinctly mountainous character. Along the way, we pass Lake Corlo, a natural stopover surrounded by water, rocks, and woods, before reaching the area of Lake Levico or Lake Caldonazzo, the gateway to the Valsugana. Check-in at the hotel and overnight stay.
Second day
Lake Levico or Caldonazzo > Valpolicella
After breakfast, we leave the lakes of Valsugana behind and head south again, passing through a variety of landscapes: valleys, more open stretches, secondary roads, and rural scenery that mark the transition from Trentino to Veneto. Our arrival in Valpolicella introduces a new landscape, featuring cultivated hills, vineyards, villages, and gentle undulations at the foot of the Lessinia Mountains. Check-in at the hotel and overnight stay.
Third day
Valpolicella > Borghetto > Custoza > Verona
We leave Valpolicella behind and cycle through the hills, countryside, and small towns of the Verona area until we reach Borghetto sul Mincio, a village on the water known for its mills, the river, and the remains of medieval fortifications. From here, we continue toward Custoza, through morainic hills and vineyards, before the final stretch to Verona Porta Nuova, where we take the train back to Bassano del Grappa. End of the weekend.
