Discover the magic of spring in Stockholm: Christmas atmosphere and Scandinavian culture with a certified Italian guide

A trip to Stockholm in spring is much more than just a vacation: it is an encounter with the luminous soul of Northern Europe, when the days grow longer, the air remains cool but gentle, and the city awakens after the long winter. We will stroll through the cobbled streets of Gamla Stan, the historic center, enveloped in a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere, among pastel-colored facades and views overlooking the water. At this time of year, Stockholm shows its most harmonious side: the parks and islands of the archipelago come back to life, and historic cafés invite you to enjoy the ritual of fika outdoors, the secret of Swedish happiness, with cinnamon buns and steaming coffee, and the city comes alive with events, markets, and urban life. Accompanied by a authorized and certified local guide, we will discover Stockholm through the eyes of those who live there every day, with interesting facts, anecdotes, and lesser-known places, far from the beaten track.
An authentic, slow, and engaging way to experience the
magic of spring in Stockholm, as the city blossoms again with the light.

WHERE ARE WE GOING?

Program

First day

Welcome to Stockholm, the green capital of Scandinavia! Arrival at the hotel and check-in. Meeting with the guide and then we begin our vacation in Stockholm with a walk through the historic center of Gamla Stan, among cobbled alleys, pastel-colored buildings, and artisan shops. Depending on the time, we may also visit Stockholm Cathedral (Storkyrkan), a Gothic jewel that holds centuries of history and legends. Dinner in a restaurant.

Second day

We dedicate the day to symbols of Swedish culture. We start with the Vasa Museum, which houses the impressive 17th-century vessel, miraculously preserved, a true marvel for those who love history and seafaring. The story of this ship, which sank during its maiden voyage and was recovered almost perfectly preserved after more than 300 years, is an extraordinary testament to Swedish engineering and maritime culture. We then continue on to Skansen, the large open-air museum that recounts the life, traditions, and crafts of the past.
Those who wish can also visit the nearby ABBA Museum, a dive into the pop music that made Sweden famous around the world.

Third day

Today we move on to discover the Drottningholm Palace, the official residence of the Swedish royal family and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, admiring the gardens and sumptuous interiors. In winter, the surrounding landscape covered in snow offers a fairytale charm.
Returning to the city, we will explore a truly unique museum: the
Stockholm subway, known as the "world's longest art gallery." With over 90 of its 100 stations decorated with incredible murals, sculptures, and art installations, this transportation system is transformed into a veritable underground museum. We'll take a break, but not just any break! Swedish Swedish fika is a social institution that goes beyond a simple coffee break; it is a time to socialize and relax, typically drinking coffee or tea and eating a pastry. A great way to warm up and enjoy the festive atmosphere.

Fourth day

We conclude our vacation in Stockholm by discovering its other faces, always accompanied by our authorized and certified city guide.
A
Östermalm, elegant and refined, we will breathe in the atmosphere of Stockholm at its most chic, among gourmet markets and Scandinavian design shop windows. We stop for lunch in the Östermalms Saluhallto savor Swedish gastronomic specialties, including the famous gravlax (marinated salmon) and tasty köttbullar meatballs. In Södermalm, on the other hand, we will experience the city's more creative and bohemian soul. Once a working-class neighborhood, today it is an irresistible mix of vintage shops, art galleries, and designer cafés. We will walk the streets of Mosebacke and Monteliusvägen, two of the city's most beautiful scenic walks, with incredible views over the rooftops of Gamla Stan and the waters of the archipelago.

Fifth day

It's time to say goodbye Stockholm, but we’ll take with us the memory of an unforgettable vacation in Northern Europe, filled with Swedish history, nature, and culture. Every day brought us authentic experiences: from the historic architecture of Gamla Stan to the modern and creative neighborhoods, from the royal residences to the urban forests surrounding the city, from the most iconic museums to the waterfront views that make Stockholm one of the most charming capitals of Scandinavia. We explored the city with a certified local guide, discovering its sustainable lifestyle, Swedish traditions, and that deep connection with nature that makes it a model of harmony and beauty.
Stockholm is a city that captivates and stays in your heart: a
journey through Northern Europe that made us fall in love and that, we are certain, will see us back soon among its islands, lights, and Nordic atmosphere.
