An e-bike tour of Sardinia that takes you deep into the most beautiful part of the northwest, between Alghero,Asinara, and Bosa, with the carefree spirit of a truly well-planned vacation. The bikes, transfers, and tickets to the Grotte di Nettuno and the boat to Asinara are all included: all you have to do is pedal, take it all in, and let yourself be surprised. An expert cycling guide accompanies us on the tours, while a local guide helps us discover the soul of Alghero. And then there are those details that linger in your memory: a wine tasting in the vineyard at sunset, a lunch on the beach with your feet in the sand, the hotel just a short walk from the center, and, every day, the feeling of being in the right place at the right time.
WHERE ARE WE GOING?
Program
First day
Welcome to Alghero
We arrive at Alghero Airport and take a shuttle to our hotel in the city, where our e-bike tour of northwestern Sardinia begins. Before setting off, we take the time to ensure a proper bike fit: we adjust the saddle, handlebars, and footrests so we can ride comfortably and with the correct posture from day one. This is an important step, because a well-fitted bike makes the entire tour smoother and more enjoyable. After receiving our bikes, we have a brief briefing on the week’s itinerary, and in the evening, we all gather for our first dinner at the hotel.
Second day
The Coral Riviera: Nature, History, and Wines
After breakfast, we set off on e-bikes along the Coral Riviera. We cycle toward the Roman Bridge and the Calich Lagoon, then reach the Nuraghe Palmavera and climb up to Monte Murone, with a stunning view of Alghero Bay. Traveling along the coast, we arrive at Mugoni Beach and then Punta Giglio, in Porto Conte Park, amid scenic trails and remnants of World War II hidden in the Mediterranean scrub. In the early afternoon, we return to the hotel to rest, and in the late afternoon, we take a private transfer to a vineyard for a sunset tasting of local wines and Sardinian specialties before returning to Alghero. Dinner on your own.
Third day
Asinara by e-bike, between protected nature and the sea
Today we’re having one of the most unique experiences of our e-bike trip in Sardinia. We take a private transfer to Stintino and board the ferry with our bikes bound forAsinara Island, in the heart of the National Park and the marine protected area. We cycle through a timeless landscape, free of traffic and tourist resorts, amidst rugged nature, quiet roads, coves with crystal-clear water, and iconic spots like Fornelli and Cala d’Oliva. It’s a day of true slow travel, immersed in the most authentic and wild part of northwestern Sardinia. In the afternoon, we return to Stintino and then to Alghero. Dinner on your own.
Fourth day
Free Day
Today we’re taking it easy and enjoying Alghero at our own pace. E-bikes are available for exploring the city and its surroundings: we can cycle along the waterfront, head to a beach on the Coral Riviera, get lost among the ramparts and narrow streets of the historic center, or stop to browse the shops, enjoy a coffee, and sample local flavors. For those looking to make the most of the day, the area also offers boat trips, wineries, and scenic views toward Porto Conte. A more relaxed day, perfect for experiencing northwestern Sardinia in an authentic and unhurried way.
Fifth day
Capo Caccia, Neptune’s Caves, and Alghero
Today we’ll explore Alghero and its most iconic sites. We’ll ride e-bikes to Capo Caccia to visit Neptune’s Caves, among the most fascinating sea caves in the Mediterranean, entering through the spectacular Escala del Cabirol. The return trip by sea to Porto Conte offers a different perspective on the cliffs and the coastline. We then stop in Mugoni for a lunch break on the beach, featuring a menu highlighting local products. In the late afternoon, we explore Alghero’s historic center with a local guide, before wrapping up the day with a traditional dinner in town.
Sixth day
From Alghero to Bosa
Today we cycle toward Bosa along the coastal road between Alghero and Planargia, a route that offers views of the open sea, cliffs, Mediterranean scrub, and long stretches of unspoiled Sardinia. Near Capo Marrargiu, we look up: here it’s not uncommon to spot griffon vultures, which find refuge in one of the wildest stretches of the western coast. The arrival in Bosa is special: colorful houses, the Temo River, and the Malaspina Castle make up one of the island’s most recognizable villages. Free time for lunch, time to enjoy the town, and return by transfer.
Seventh day
Goodbye, Alghero
After breakfast,it’s time to leave Alghero and head to the airport for our return flight. We say our goodbyes, taking with us memories of a week spent among the sea, nature, and scenic roads of northern Sardinia, cycling on e-bikes through historic towns, natural parks, and seaside villages. We don’t like goodbyes, especially after such an intense shared journey full of wonderful discoveries. That’s why we prefer to think of this as a “see you soon”: to Sardinia, its landscapes, its flavors, and perhaps to a new Jonas tour to experience together again.
