Cycling in the Maremma: slow Tuscany between sea and countryside

YOUR RATING

last year's survey score

A cycling holiday between sea and nature, made special by the presence of an expert guide who selects the best routes and helps you discover the most authentic Tuscany.

The Maremma, Italy's last frontier, a land where the four elements of water, earth, fire, and wind sculpt the territory. The vast prairies, the great silences, the humid winds that we have seen so many times in films remind us of this strip of wild Tuscan land that we will cross on horseback, yes, but not on horses with flowing manes, rather on bikes, pedaling with our noses turned up, for a cycling holiday in Tuscany, with a slow approach that respects nature and local traditions. The Maremma , thanks to the expert guide, will reveal itself in its most authentic form: a generous land of vineyards, olive groves, and wheat fields, where fresh and salt water meet in surprising harmony. We will stay in the center of Orbetello, a town that is almost entirely pedestrianized, suspended between two lagoons, famous for its windmills and sunsets that paint the water with intense colors. From here, every day, we will set off on bike tours , pedaling between the sea, lagoons, pine forests, countryside, and rolling hills, and for a panoramic trekking on the island of Giglio, following the slow and authentic rhythm of a cycling holiday in the Tuscan countryside.
