WHERE ARE WE GOING?
Program
First day
The meeting point is in the afternoon in Gorizia. After getting to know each other, the guide will present the bike tour program. This will be followed by bike allocation and bike checks, so that everyone is ready for the start of the tour the next day. This bike tour will take us along the Isonzo Valley , one of the most beautiful cycle paths in Europe. From Gorizia, we will cycle to Nova Gorica and then on to Tolmin, Kanal, Kobarid, and Bovec. We will cross the Vršič Pass, the highest mountain pass in Slovenia, then descend towards Kranjska Gora and end the trip at Lake Bled. The evening will end with a dinner included!
Second day
Gorizia - Kanal - Tolmin
Gorizia and Nova Gorica, two cities that symbolize a Europe without borders, mark the beginning of our bike tour through the past and present, between Habsburg majesty and Slovenian liveliness. Our bike tour in Gorizia will allow us to get to know the soul of the two cities by crossing squares, streets, and picturesque corners, also traveling along the borderline, now a cycle and pedestrian path, which recalls the recent past. We then begin to climb the Isonzo River along a beautiful stretch of cycle path that runs alongside the river a few meters away and reach Kanal with its medieval structure, where we will stop for lunch. We will then take the train for a short transfer to Most na Soci where a relaxing canoe trip on the river, which is like a lake in that stretch, awaits us. Those who feel like it can also take a dip in the water! After the canoeing experience, we will get back on our bikes and after a short ride we will reach the hotel.
Third day
Tolmin - Kaporetto - Bovec
We leave Tolmin after visiting its spectacular gorges, one of the most beautiful natural sites in the Triglav National Park, with a hike of about an hour and a half. We get back on our bikes and set off again in the direction of Kobarid (Kobarid) where we will have the opportunity to visit the National Museum of the Great War or stroll to the suspension bridge over the clear waters of the river. We return to cycling, accompanied by the thousand colors of the Isonzo, in the direction of Bovec, a small alpine village in the upper Isonzo Valley.
Fourth day
Bovec - a day to recharge your batteries
A free day to enjoy at your own pace. Those seeking adventure can choose between rafting, kayaking, or canyoning, activities that can be booked directly with the local guide a few days before departure. For those who prefer something more peaceful, the guide will lead a pleasant excursion to the Šunik Water Grove, a protected area of the Triglav National Park, among waterfalls, crystal clear water, and corners of great energy. Free lunch in a typical gostilna, a dip in the river, and return in the afternoon and evening at leisure.
Fifth day
Bovec - Vrsic Pass - Kraniska Gora
Today is the most challenging stage of the tour, but also one of the most exciting. We will climb up the Isonzo River along the picturesque Val Trenta, where the water has carved out spectacular gorges. Along the way, we take a break on the riverbank to relax and enjoy the surroundings. We have a packed lunch without any long stops, because we have a big challenge ahead of us: the climb to the Vršič Pass or Moistrocca Pass, the highest pass in Slovenia. Here, the view is extraordinary and the satisfaction is immense. After the descent, we reach Kranjska Gora: congratulations to everyone for this incredible day!
Sixth day
Kranjska Gora - Bled
The last stage of our group cycling tour in Slovenia takes us from Kranjska Gora to Lake Bled, one of the most iconic places in the Julian Alps, a truly special grand finale. The afternoon is free for everyone to enjoy the lake as they wish: relaxing in the green areas, cycling around the lake (about 6 km), visiting the castle, or taking a ride on a traditional boat. In the evening, we will all meet for dinner at the hotel and a toast to mark the end of this wonderful adventure.
Seventh day
After breakfast, it's time to say goodbye. Today marks the end of this exciting e-bike tour from Gorizia to Bled, a journey designed to help you discover the most authentic Slovenia. Every detail has been taken care of so you can ride without a care in the world: luggage transport included, expert cycling guide, and dinners included. After crossing extraordinary landscapes, from the Italian-Slovenian border to Lake Bled, you will return home with many memories, new friends, and a great desire to return. To return to Gorizia , we choose the train, which allows us to load our bikes and end the trip in the best possible way, leaving a green footprint.
Arrival in Gorizia by car (hotel parking is available for guests staying at the hotel, but free parking is also available in the surrounding area). For the return journey, there is a train from Bled to Gorizia.
Train to and from Gorizia. For the return journey from Bled on the last day, we take the Bled-Gorizia train with bike transport.
