First day
Arrival in Villach in the afternoon, a lively town in Carinthia, easily accessible by train from Udine. After checking into the hotel, take some time to settle in and prepare for the start of this self-guided cycling holiday, designed for those who love to travel independently, but with everything already organized.
With maps in hand, over the next few days you will follow one of the most fascinating cycle routes in Europe: the Alpe-Adria Cycle Route, an itinerary that crosses geographical and cultural borders between Austria, Slovenia, and Italy. Stage after stage, the landscape will change pace and appearance until you reach Udine and the UNESCO gem of Cividale del Friuli, the perfect conclusion to a slow, cross-border and deeply personal journey.
Second day
After breakfast, briefing with the local representative, bike delivery, maps, and tour explanation. This individual bike tour along the famous Alpe-Adria cycle path starts in Villach and follows the route that runs alongside Lake Ossiacher See, the third largest lake in Carinthia, for a vacation start rich in colors and views. Tonight you will stay in Villach again. Tomorrow, this cycling experience in freedom will continue, ideal for those who want to enjoy the pleasure of traveling at their own pace, without sacrificing the security of a well-organized tour.

You will leave Villach to conquer the famous cycle path that connects Mozart's city, Salzburg, to the Adriatic Sea. TheToday's bike route will take you along the Drava River to the Italian border. Stop in the town of Camporosso, where the cable car at 1,790 m above sea level, at the top of Monte Santo Lussari with its sanctuary. After a well-deserved rest, we resume our cycle route towards Tarvisio, relaxation at the hotel, and dinner. luggage transport included, organization, and the freedom to choose between bikes or e-bikes, this self-guided tour is ideal for those who love to discover new territories without worries and at their own pace.

Today you will cross a new border, the one with Slovenia! Explore Tarvisio and its natural beauty, then continue towards Kranjska Gora, in the heart of the Julian Alps . In the afternoon, visit the Fusine lakes for a few moments of relaxation and then on to Tarvisio to return to the hotel and enjoy an excellent dinner.
Today, you once again experienced the freedom to choose your own pace of cycling and discovery, but with the comfort of an organized vacation.
Fifth day
This itinerant journey by bike or e-bike
continues along the route of theancient Pontebba railway line. A stop at the Chiusaforte Station, the symbol of this cycle path. You will arrive in Venzone, a medieval village with charming double stone walls. We resume our journey along the Friuli Venezia Giulia Castle Road, which takes us through enchanting villages, hills, and historic manors. The day ends in lively Udine, a city rich in charm and traditions.
Sixth day
We set off again from Udine on our bikes and conclude the tour with an important stop: Cividale del Friuli, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This historic city offers picturesque views and excellent cuisine. In the afternoon, we cycle another short stretch of this famous cycle path to Udine.

We have come to the end of this wonderful bike vacation, an individual tour that includes organization, maps, luggage transport, and the option to rent bikes or e-bikes. A perfect tour for those who love cycle tourism but are not super experts, an itinerary that took us through incredible landscapes, cities rich in history and unique traditions, giving us an authentic experience. The nearest train station is Villach HBF (Hauptbahnhof/city), which is about a 10-15 minute walk from the hotel. For the return journey, take the train from Udine.
For those arriving by car, we recommend leaving it in Udine and traveling to Villach by train on the first day.
