Program
First day
Our weekend in the snow begins in the afternoon with a meeting at the hotel at 3 p.m. and check-in. After meeting the guide, we will immediately set off for our first visit, at 4 p.m., to the heart of the historic village of Cutigliano, one of the most charming villages in the Tuscan Apennines, to discover its medieval center, with its cobbled alleys and panoramic views.
This is followed by a pleasant excursion to San Vito, a 4 km loop perfect for stretching your legs after the journey and getting to know the group, surrounded by nature. On your return, those who wish can join a convivial aperitif in the village before returning to the hotel for dinner and a briefing on the program for the following days.
Second day
After breakfast, we set off for Doganaccia, which we reach by cable car or car. We start the day with a wonderful guided snowshoe hike along the historic Romea Strata trail, climbing gently through snow-covered woods and panoramic ridges to the summit of Monte Croce Arcana.
We then reach the charming Capanno Tassoni mountain hut, where a refreshing lunch of typical mountain dishes awaits us: a perfect moment to relax and warm up in the cozy atmosphere of the hut.
In the afternoon, we put our snowshoes back on fora sunset hike, one of the most evocative moments of the weekend.
Third day
The last guided excursion takes us on another breathtaking itinerary from Doganaccia. We walk on fresh snow to the picturesque Boschetto del Lupo, a small corner of unspoiled forest where beech trees give way to clearings and small streams, giving it a mysterious and ancestral atmosphere.
The excursion ends around 1:30 p.m.: those who wish can stay for a convivial closing lunch or return to Cutigliano by cable car.
