WHERE ARE WE GOING?
Program
First day
We recommend arriving in Colletorto, a town in the province of Campobasso, at around 6 p.m. There will then be a brief presentation of the horse trekking and the horse-rider pairing, so we can begin to familiarize ourselves with our travel companion. The evening will continue with a traditional Molise dinner at a farmhouse, all together. This itinerant tour between equestrian tourism, farmhouses, or B&Bs offers a unique experience of nature, tradition, and slow tourism, suitable for beginners and experts alike. Lake Occhito, one of the most beautiful and unspoiled lakes in Italy, will be the backdrop to our adventures. For those arriving by train, it is possible to reach Colletorto from the stations of Campobasso or Termoli, by bus or transfers organized on request with the local contact person.
Second day
Riding towards the blue of Lake Occhito
In the morning, we saddle up and set off until we reach the shores of Lake Occhito. The landscape changes with every step: golden fields, cool shaded areas, glimpses of the lake. After a packed lunch (included), we continue to the second stop of this organized weekend where a tasty dinner and good local wine await us. Depending on the time of year and on request, it will be possible to witness thethe rural experience of milking and milk processing, immersing yourself in the traditions of Molise.
Third day
On horseback, in the heart of Molise
Today we travel to the rhythm of hooves, without rushing. The horseback tours are a perfect way to connect with the landscape, history, sounds, and scents of the region. It will be a slow journey through an Italian region that remains, even today, the least affected by mass tourism, savoring our surroundings and enjoying this sense of serenity, free from stress, as we embark on a new adventure. Our equestrian guide will share stories and interesting facts as we make our way to our final convivial dinner at a farmhouse, immersed in the tranquility of Molise.
Fourth day
The echo of hooves in our hearts
The group is now well established: companions, horses, and landscapes will remain in our hearts. After a short horse ride, we will enjoy a light lunch featuring Molise specialties. At around 4:00 p.m., it's time to leave. For those who arrived by car, it is possible to arrange a transfer with our local representatives.
