Program
First day
Arrival at Pantelleria airport, welcome and transfer to a 4-star hotel. Check-in and perhaps a quick dip in the pool. It's time to meet your fellow travelers and the official guide of the Pantelleria Island National Park (GAE) , who will present the details of the program for the coming days. Welcome dinner.
Second day
Pantelleria on the road
After breakfast, departure for a panoramic tour of the island of Pantelleria by minibus, ideal for getting to know the area. We will cross both sides of the island, from Scauri to the district of Tracino with its maze of narrow streets on the eastern side, among volcanic landscapes, dry stone walls, and historic districts. Stop at a sheltered cove to swim and snorkel. Return to the hotel and free afternoon.
Third day
Wild Northwest
Today we explore the northwest side. We walk along one of most picturesque trails on Pantelleria, among bush-trained vineyards, caper bushes, and ancient dammusi. The route leads to the majestic Punta Spadillo Lighthouse, overlooking an intense and wild sea. After visiting the Volcanological Museum, with its brand new Sea Room offering an emotional journey through the island's seabed, the trek ends with a refreshing swim at Cala Cottone, where we can recharge our batteries with a refreshing dip in the sea. Free afternoon.
Fourth day
In the green heart of Pantelleria
A day immersed in the greenery of Montagna Grande, among woods, Mediterranean scrub, and panoramic viewpoints that offer a wide and surprising view of the island. This walk will give us a tour of the island that allows us to appreciate many of its unique features. Don't miss the view from Sibà district to the Gelfiser lava flow and on to the Punta Spadillo lighthouse, before continuing on to the contrada di Scauri on the west side. The route passes through places full of charm such as the Bosco delle Fate and the Grotta dei Briganti. By minibus, we then reach the natural sauna of Benikulà, carved into the lava rock, for a healthy Turkish bath. Free afternoon.
Fifth day
Island tour by boat
Today, the sea takes center stage with aboat trip around the island, to discover Pantelleria from a privileged perspective. You will make a complete tour of the island with stops at the most beautiful and sheltered coves and spots where you can swim. Lunch is served on board and includes a variety of delicacies made with typical Pantelleria ingredients, accompanied by sparkling Sicilian wine. You won't forget the freshly prepared pasta with Pantelleria pesto made with tomatoes, basil, and almonds! Just before returning to port, don't miss a typical local dessert, served with the famous Passito di Pantelleria. Water, wine, and coffee are always available throughout the day.
The boats, which can accommodate up to 14 people including the crew, are equipped with shaded areas and toilets to ensure comfort and relaxation.
Sixth day
Pantelleria between history and spas
Pantelleria is also history: a day dedicated to archaeological sites that tell the story of ancient peoples, from theAcropolis of San Marco , which reveals the Punic presence, to the Byzantine tombs carved into the rock in the Gibbuina forest, in the Piana di Ghirlanda. After a full immersion in the history and charm of Pantelleria's traditions, the afternoon ends at the Gadir thermal baths, a pleasant and charming village known for its healing waters that reach temperatures between 40 and 60 degrees, where we will have the opportunity to experience a moment of pure well-being thanks to the clear and fresh waters of the sea of Pantelleria.
Seventh day
Lake of Venus and capers
During this week's vacation in Pantelleria, a visit to one of the island's most iconic places was a must: Lake of Venus. This is one of the most fascinating examples of biodiversity and primordial life. Here you can immerse yourself in the thermal waters and apply natural mud, while the volcanic landscape all around amplifies the feeling of well-being and suspension. Cleaned up and regenerated, we continue with a visit to the Caper Museum , which allows us to learn about one of Pantelleria's most representative crops, now world-renowned for its organoleptic qualities. This stop will give us an understanding of what life was and still is like for Pantelleria's farmers and the deep bond between man and the land. Free afternoon.
Eighth day
After breakfast, it's time to head back, with memories of a vacation filled with walks, sea, and unspoiled nature. We'll be transferred to the airport for our return flights. Until the next time we dive together, perhaps once again in the sea of Pantelleria!
