WHERE ARE WE GOING?

Program

First day

Meet the tour guide by 8:30 a.m.**, pick up your bikes, and off we go on a loop tour through the most fascinating walled cities in the region. We’ll soak up history as we cycle through Cittadella, Bassano, and Marostica. We’ll then head first to Bassano del Grappa, an elegant and lively town, passing through historic squares until we reach the famous Ponte degli Alpini (Ponte Vecchio), the city’s symbol. Here, it’s almost a ritual to stop at the Nardini Distillery for the traditional “mezo e mezo.” We continue on toward Marostica, famous for the Piazza degli Scacchi and the historical reenactment of the Living Chess Game. We return to Cittadella in the late afternoon, just in time for a nice aperitif.

**Note: Those who wish to arrive the night before may request an additional night’s stay in Cittadella.

Route information: approximately 60 km with a 200-meter elevation gain

Second day

Today's ride is scenic and gentle, through the Asolo Hills. We arrive in Asolo, one of Italy's most beautiful villages, refined and intimate. Weather permitting, we stop in Castelfranco Veneto, a walled city that was the birthplace of Giorgione.

Route info: approximately 65 km with 300 meters of elevation gain

Third day

Today's route runs along the Brenta Nature Park, a ring of great naturalistic value that is entirely cycleable. After the first part immersed in nature, we arrive in the late morning at Piazzola sul Brenta, where you can visit the Villa Contarini and its park. Return to Cittadella in the afternoon.
