First
Welcome to Padua
Arrival at the hotel in Padua and meet with the guide at 4:00 p.m. After a brief welcome, we’ll begin exploring the city by gathering for a tasting dinner dedicated to the authentic flavors of the region: a convivial occasion to get to know the group and discover the rich culinary traditions of Veneto.
For NEW YEAR’S EVE: We’ll meet at the hotel at 3:30 p.m. This will be followed by a tour of the historic Padua Botanical Garden , followed by an aperitif and dinner.
If the weather permits and we’re up for a walk, we’ll wrap up the evening with an evening stroll through the historic center, soaking up the elegant and peaceful atmosphere of the city all lit up.

This will be a day dedicated to experiencing the authentic spirit of Padua: our guide will lead us through the charming streets of the city’s historic center. Once we reach the heart of the historic center, there will be an opportunity to take an optional guided tour of Palazzo Bo (not available on 12/31), the beating heart of the historic University. Alternatively, you can choose to visit the famous Palazzo della Ragione and/or the Torre degli Anziani*, which offers a magnificent view of the city, especially during the Christmas season. After this cultural immersion, we’ll stop for a break at the famous Caffè Pedrocchi or at the Graziati pastry shop, where we can savor local pastries and specialties. Now we’re getting to the highlight of our weekend in Padua by exploring the city market, in the shadow of the Palazzo della Ragione, between Piazza della Frutta and Piazza delle Erbe, sampling the traditional tramezzini and folpetti. In the afternoon, the exploration continues: we’ll take a guided tour of La Specola, theancient astronomical tower that has been turned into a museum, which showcases the scientific passion that permeates this city. In the evening, dinner at a historic restaurant to enjoy local flavors (for New Year’s Eve, there will be a gala dinner followed by a party in the square!).
*Reservations are required for the Torre degli Anziani, while they are optional for the Palazzo della Ragione.

Tradition and Wonder
The last morning will be dedicated to some of the most evocative experiences Padua has to offer: you can choose to take an optional tour of the Basilica del Santo, a pilgrimage destination for people from all over the world. Alternatively, you can immerse yourself in the natural tranquility of theBotanical Garden, the world’s oldest university botanical garden and a a UNESCO World Heritage Site (closed on November 1). Whatever you choose, we’ll meet up again with the rest of the group at the hotel, from where our tour guide will take you to bring our 3 days in Padua: let’s toast together with an drink in Padua’s historic center. health and baggage insurancePadua is well connected to many Italian cities. Once you arrive at Padua station, you can easily reach the city center on foot (in about half an hour) or by bus, with a journey time of about 15 minutes.
For those arriving by car, parking is available at a cost of €12 per day (per car) at the facility.
