Here's a 7-day catamaran cruise between the Amalfi Coast and the Flegree Islands: Positano, Amalfi, Capri, Ischia, Procida, and Marina di Stabia are all within easy reach. And if you're looking for a way to unwind and relax without having to worry about preparing meals or stocking up on provisions, you've come to the right place: you'll be traveling on a brand new catamaran with a skipper and two hostesses! They will take care of the navigation and manage life on board while you and your new friends relax on the large sun loungers or enjoy an aperitif in front of the island of Ischia or Amalfi. Jonas' tip: to reach many of the most beautiful beaches on the Amalfi Coast, you have to climb long staircases, so reaching them by catamaran is the best way to enjoy your vacation with a little more comfort and take advantage of the most beautiful viewpoints for your photos of the Gulf of Naples.
WHERE ARE WE GOING?
Program
First day
Towards Positano
After boarding in the afternoon, we leave Marina di Stabia and immediately enter the picture postcard setting as we head towards Positano. The best way to enjoy this week on a catamaran on the Amalfi Coast is to anchor off the towns and go ashore in the convenient taxi boats. Today, for example, we can stroll through the narrow streets and stairways, enjoying the scent of lemons, or head to the most beautiful beaches in Positano, such as Spiaggia Grande, Fornillo, or the more secluded San Pietro Laurito. The beauty of this tour is that we don't have to think about anything because there are two hostesses on this catamaran who take care of preparing meals and stocking the galley.
Second day
The beaches of the Amalfi Coast
Jonas' tip: before setting off again, why not have breakfast at the famous La Zagara pastry shop? Today's boat trip will be short but packed with wonders. The coast rises vertically and the blue becomes deeper: we sail past the famous Fiordo di Furore and Marina di Praia beach, which we can easily reach from the sea thanks to the boat. Arrival in Amalfi: In the afternoon, it is worth taking the time to visit Amalfi, following the axis of the historic center to its most iconic sites: the Cathedral, the Cloister of Paradise, and the fountain of Sant'Andrea. For dinner, we will stay on the catamaran to sample one of the dishes prepared by the hostess.
Third day
The island of Capri
The island should be viewed from the sea, because that is where it reveals its best features. The Blue Grottoand the Faraglioni rocks of Capri are iconic, but Jonas recommends taking a complete tour of the island to find the right cove to avoid the crowds in August. The beauty of a catamaran vacation is that you can reach the most beautiful places in the Gulf of Naples in a more relaxed way. Let's dive into the turquoise waters for a swim or, plan B, let's go ashore for a 2-3 km loop along the Pizzolungo trail, with views of the Faraglioni.
An evening swim among sheer rocks and blue water is a classic part of any self-respecting boat vacation!
Fourth day
Sant'Angelo d'Ischia
We continue our 7-day catamaran trip in the Gulf of Naples, heading for Ischia, the pearl of the gulf: greener, larger, more livable, with an irresistible mix of sea, villages, and history. Our advice is to alternate snorkeling in coves accessible only from the sea with an excursion to Sant'Angelo d'Ischia, whose center is completely pedestrianized. Depending on the weather and the style we want to give to our vacation, the skipper will advise us where to spend an exciting night at anchor.
Fifth day
Ischia
To really get to know Ischia, it's best to stay for two days. This allows us to take a boat tour of Ischia to reach the quietest beaches, even in August. We relax on sun loungers, taste some local wine served by the hostess, or listen to the sound of the sea. This week on the boat is synonymous with relaxation and exclusivity. Jonas's tip for today? Go to Baia di Sorgeto for a free thermal bath in 35–37°C seawater or head to Maronti beach, considered one of the most beautiful in Ischia.
Sixth day
The colors of Procida
After a delicious breakfast in the cockpit, we set sail for the most colorful island. We visit Procida with its pastel-colored houses, fishing boats, and sheltered bays, perfect for a dip away from the hustle and bustle and lunch by the sea. If you're looking for crystal-clear water, you'll love Chiaia beach. Want a great plan B? Climb up to Belvedere Terra Murata to see the most beautiful sunset in Procida.
Seventh day
Gulf of Naples
The last day of this catamaran vacation takes us across the Gulf of Napleson a beautiful sail, allowing us to enjoy one last swim and a spectacular finale with views of Naples and Vesuvius in the background. Depending on the weather conditions, we will decide together with the skipper whether to return to Marina di Stabia and find a typical Campania restaurant or spend one last night at anchor.
Eighth day
Disembarkation
We have reached the end of this skippered boat holiday. During our seven days, we sailed between the islands of Ischia, Capri, Procida, and the most famous locations on the Amalfi Coast, alternating between diving into the incredible sea and visiting world-famous villages. The two hostesses on board spoiled us by preparing meals and keeping the boat tidy: it was a relaxing week of sailing, but now it's time to disembark by 9:00 a.m.
