WHERE ARE WE GOING?
Program
First day
Towards the blue of the Tuscan Archipelago
We look forward to seeing you in Salivoli in the morning to kick off this exciting week of sailing with a skipper. Once everyone is on board, if the wind is favorable, we will head towards thePalmaiola Island or Cavo Beach for our first swim, then sail towards Porto Azzurro. Over the next few days, we will continue our discovery of the south of theisland of Elba and reach theIsola del Giglioto relax on its wild beaches. Sailing through the natural beauty of the Tuscan Archipelago is one of the most enjoyable experiences for an eco-friendly vacation in Tuscany, enjoying the sea and reaching beaches that are only accessible by boat.
Second day
The most secret Elba
Breakfast in the cockpit this week gives us a view of Porto Azzurro and the fortress of Forte San Giacomo. These are the breakfasts we love! In the morning, we head towards the lesser-known beaches of Elba Island, one of Italy's most sought-after destinations, which, when visited by sailboat, will allow us to avoid the crowds even in August. Let's dive from the Jonas boat into the clear waters of the Remaiolo beach or Sassi Neri beach. The incredible color contrasts of this place will leave you speechless. The Gulf of Capoliveri and Golfo Stella await us to spend the night at anchor, another incredible outdoor experience on this tour of the Tuscan Archipelago.
Third day
Route to Giglio
One of the things to do on a sailboat? A dip in the early morning and then breakfast in the cockpit! In the morning, we set sail forIsola del Giglio, a true jewel of the Tuscan Archipelago. We can spend the 4-5 hours of sailing learning how to adjust the sails and taking turns at the helm. We head down to the beautiful Spiaggia delle Cannelle, perfect for diving and snorkeling in its turquoise waters, or we stop at Giglio Campese, further north. We end the day with a traditional Tuscan dinner at a beach restaurant or by staying on board for another night at anchor.
Fourth day
The wildest lily
The sailing holiday in Tuscany continues with a deeper exploration of Giglio Island, with its rocky outcrops and the Caldane Beach, a corner of paradise surrounded by vegetation where we can stop for a swim and relax in its crystal clear waters. Switching off and returning to breathe in time with nature is a priceless experience! In the evening, if the weather is stable, we can stay in the harbor: the island of Giglio has very few lights on land, giving us an incredible starry sky. Alternatively, we can go ashore for dinner in a typical Tuscan restaurant.
Fifth day
The slow pleasure of Elba
We have learned that the best thing about sleeping at anchor is diving into the water as soon as you wake up, when the sea is still and silence still reigns all around. We reach the famous beaches of Lacona and Laconella , characterized by light sand and crystal clear water. We read a book, sunbathe, and relax, or, if the wind is favorable, we can reach the famous Pomonte shipwreck where snorkel. In the evening, how about dinner at a restaurant or a stroll through the streets of Marina di Campo?
Sixth day
The southern coast of Elba
The south coast of Elba Island is a succession of wonderful beaches, each one different from the next. We continue our week on a skippered sailboat towards the wide gulf of Lacona and Lido di Capoliveri, where we spend the day diving and relaxing at will on the Beach of the Lovers and Pareti. We have reached our last night together: we can stay here to enjoy an exciting starry night or head to Porto Azzurro for dinner in a restaurant, in the lively atmosphere of the village.
Seventh day
Disembarkation
Our week sailing among the beaches of Elba Island and Giglio Island is coming to an end. We savor the moment of our last dip before breakfast and coffee in the company of our new friends, and we disembark at Salivoli by noon. We will take home with us the awareness of having experienced anunusual outdoor experience among the southern islands of Tuscany and the desire to already plan our next sailing trip, perhaps for a weekend on a boat in September or October with the same skipper and the same group of friends.
Salivoli can be reached by train, getting off at Piombino or Campiglia Marittima. You then continue by bus.
You can only enter the port to load and unload, but there is a free public parking lot about 300 meters from the port where you can usually find a spot without any problems.
